I am an artist currently living and practicing in the American Midwest. I suggest fantastical narratives using both virtual and physical tools. I am not interested in reality in general, but in fantasy and escapism. My desire for escape stems from a need to be comforted: to be loved and enclosed in a safe and sensually stimulating environment, far from the horrors of adulthood, where all needs--carnal, spiritual, emotional--will be met. My platonic love for and strong identification with "females" places them prominently in my stories: I love the old-school creature-features, with their beauty-and-the-beast narrative underpinnings. I want to transport my audience into an otherworldly place where weird colors and organic forms exist, where ooey-gooey textures are par for the course, and where the imagination is permitted to soar.
